Role:
The Contracts Manager will be a key member of the Management Team, involved in contractual and commercial discussions, decisions, and negotiations with Clients. They will support internal approvals and provide commercial and contracts expertise related to project and tender activities across Evolv Energies. Additionally, the Contracts Manager will represent Evolv Energies at Client and stakeholder meetings as needed.
Requirements
Primary Roles & Responsibilities include:
Win:
* Perform contract reviews for tendering in accordance with Group Legal and Contract Management Procedures.
* Attend Tender Review and Bid Meetings as the Contract Management focal point.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to review draft contracts and bid documents, ensuring consistency and challenging assumptions.
* Identify lessons learned and address them in tender reviews.
* Participate in meetings with prospective clients to negotiate acceptable contract and commercial conditions.
* Provide feedback to tender teams on issues encountered on active projects.
Execute:
* Manage day-to-day contractual obligations, aligning with strategic contracts and commercial goals.
* Monitor key client deliverables with Project Managers.
* Identify risks and opportunities proactively, working with stakeholders to address them.
* Manage change processes and pursue commercial opportunities, including cash recovery.
* Advise on subcontracting conditions, deviations, and flow-downs, supporting contract close-out.
Role Requirements include:
* A proactive, team-oriented approach with a can-do attitude.
* Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Business Management, or related field.
* Membership in relevant professional bodies is desirable.
* Experience in a similar role within the energy sector, preferably in engineering and construction services.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
* Ability to assess contractual risks practically and commercially.
* Effective planning and communication skills.
* Adaptability to change and process improvements.
* Interest in developing external and internal relationships, participating in industry groups.
