We are looking for a highly motivated Emergency Planning Assistant to bolster the resilience and preparedness of Stoke on Trent City Council. The post holder will be part of the Emergency Planning Team and will play a pivotal role in assisting the developing emergency and business continuity plans, training colleagues, writing and delivering services and providing advice and guidance to local communities in a clear and concise manner. To achieve this the role requires close working with the Local Resilience Forum members as well as internal teams. This role is suited for those wishing to enter emergency planning as a career. You will be expected to attend training courses, online eLearning modules and potentially an apprenticeship in emergency planning. We ask that you have good computer skills, are up to date with recent Microsoft applications and be able to adhere to deadlines.
