Job Opportunity: Clinical Co-ordinator
The Surgical Directorate manages a wide range of clinical services including General Surgery, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, ENT, OMFS, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery, Endoscopy, Breast Surgery, Pain, Theatres, and Pre-Assessment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join us as a Clinical Co-ordinator. This pivotal role involves managing our elective programme and emergency admissions, ensuring patient safety and quality care. You will provide strong leadership, support patient flow, and collaborate closely with the Capacity and Flow Team and Primary care colleagues to coordinate transfers within and outside the hospital, including tertiary centres.
You will work alongside Clinical Nurse Managers and Senior Charge Nurses, playing a key role in staffing and ensuring person-centred, high-quality care. This position is ideal for an experienced nurse with leadership and management experience aiming to advance their career. You will join a motivated, multidisciplinary team committed to delivering the highest standards of care.
The successful candidate must be a 1st Level Registered Nurse. Experience in a Duty Charge Nurse role is desirable but not essential; proven leadership and managerial skills are required.
