As the Mechanical Supervisor you will provide technical support and guidance to the hard service teams,
* Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of Mechanical activities delivered by SEF engineering teams and specialist sub-contractors/service providers. This will be both office and field based supervision with an expected 50 - 50 split.
* Programme Management
* Responsible for the delivery of planned maintenance, reactive maintenance and small works.
* Planning and co-ordination of works with management teams and supply chain.
* Support to incidental works and other new works projects.
* Responsible welfare of SEF employees within the Mechanical delivery team.
* Responsible for the performance management, absence management, recruitment, selection and development of staff.
* Ensure staff are trained to carry out works safely, efficiently and to standard.
* Lead by example by carrying out reactive tasks
Experience in a similar role with a proven track record in the effective management of small projects and reactive works coordinating multi skilled work groups.
* Excellent people management skills while able to manage sub-contractors and supply chain.
* Ability to work across both office and field based environments, being hands on and undertaking tasks as required when assigned.
* Fully conversant with current H&S legislation and process management systems.
* Understanding of asset management information systems together with remote monitoring integrated technology.
* Experience in the supervision of labour across diverse facilities.
* Valid formal Health & Safety qualification e.g. IOSH.
* Holder of a full and valid driving licence.
* Flexible working, will be required to be available on a callout system.
* Qualified mechanical engineer (City & Guilds engr, ONC, building services, etc) or equivalent.
* Experience of working on commercial & domestic heating systems, HVAC systems, Legionella (L8 management).
* Experience as an AP in related disciplines should be a pre-requisite, like Authorised Person Mechanical and Pressure Systems (APMPS) or Ventilation, Legionella Management .
* Also significant experience of PSSR, gas and plumbing, district heating systems etc
* AP experience as distinct advantage.
* High degree of self motivation and dedication to achieving excellence.
* Able to interpret contract detail and implement requirements.
* Experience in leading and supporting a team of mechanical engineers, people management, compliance and record keeping
