The position:

A seasoned strategist with an envy‑inducing portfolio. You’re fundamentally ideas‑driven. Someone who can demonstrate a wealth of experience across both brand and creative strategy. You’ll make us think ‘I wish I’d thought of that’. A fresh pair of eyes. New skills, fresh ideas and bags of enthusiasm – that’s you!

Flexible. You’re intuitive, not formulaic so you’re not wedded to any one way of doing things. You know the rules and how to break them. A conceptual thinker that can take ‘what works’ and challenge it to make it better.

You’re a natural leader. Instinctive, opinion‑led and a relationship builder. You inspire and encourage colleagues and clients, building strong bonds through knowledge and trust.

You’ve got a passion for your craft. You’ve got your finger on the pulse and an insatiable appetite for what’s going on in our industry and the wider world.

Gumption, initiative, whatever you want to call it – just as long as you’ve got it. We want someone with the knowledge and ideas to challenge how we do strategy.

An articulate communicator, you thrive in the spotlight. Able to pen compelling creative ideas and deliver them concisely to the team and clients. You like to keep it simple and make an impact.

Empathy. You can comfortably put yourself in the shoes of the client and their consumers and see things from their perspective.

Enthusiasm. We want someone who brings energy by the bucket load to every task and project.


You’ll be responsible for:

This is an opportunity to shape and lead Robot Food’s strategic output, defining brand strategy for most progressive global brands.


Typical tasks would include:

* Planning and running workshops with our clients
* Using the findings and insights to develop disruptive strategies for the brands we work with
* Conducting and analysing research, reviewing trends and research to get to the heart of the problem for our clients and, of course, uncover the stickiest of insights
* Developing propositions, creative positioning and brand ideas that will inspire and provoke
* Taking and interrogating client briefings to gain a thorough understanding of our client’s business, objectives, audiences and ambitions
* Using this information to write compelling creative briefs that put the brand strategy into action and inspire the design team
* Working closely with the creative teams to bridge the gap between strategic thinking and creative doing
* Regularly evaluating creative work, adding strategic thinking at every step and keeping our work on brief
* Building clear structures and processes to guide brand and design work and keep strategy in the mix throughout
* Presenting your thinking to our clients, working with them to hone out the kinks and taking them with you on the journey
* Supporting our marketing efforts with thought leadership, idea generation and opinion for RF‑specific content
* Providing new thinking to raise our strategic profile with our clients


Essentials for the role:

This is a full‑time position based in Leeds on a hybrid basis (minimum of 2 days per week in the studio). Must be willing to travel to client meetings when necessary. Good copywriting skills are essential for the role.
