Location: Hastings, East Sussex (with travel to all five branch offices)
We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised Practice Manager to join our team, following the retirement of the current post-holder.
With currently around 120 staff across five offices (Battle, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Hastings and Rye), this is a key leadership role supporting the Managing Partner and managing an Operations team overseeing HR, premises and facilities, IT, health & safety and training functions and assisting with legal compliance, finance and payroll.
This is a full-time role and you’ll be based in one of our offices (ideally our Head Office in Hastings) but with home-working opportunities. You will be helping to shape strategy while managing day-to-day operations. This fast-paced and varied role requires excellent communication, sound judgment, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Key areas of responsibility include:
* Recruitment, onboarding and staff management
* Office and facilities management
* Health and safety compliance
* Supplier and contract management
* Staff training and wellbeing initiatives
* Payroll, pensions and insurance
* Strategic planning and project delivery
What we’re looking for:
An experienced professional with a background in professional services operational and HR management (ideally within a law firm), excellent interpersonal skills, and a proactive, flexible approach.
