Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and committed Locum Psychiatrists (ST3–ST8) to join our NHS Trust. The successful candidates will provide high-quality psychiatric care across a range of subspecialties, supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering safe and effective mental health services.
You will be expected to carry out clinical assessments, manage inpatient and/or community caseloads, contribute to ward rounds and MDT meetings, and participate in the on-call rota (if required).

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop management plans.
* Provide inpatient and/or community-based care across assigned subspecialties.
* Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
* Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, and handovers.
* Contribute to the supervision and training of junior medical staff (if applicable).
* Ensure compliance with NHS policies, safeguarding procedures, and GMC standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Essential:
* MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
* Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with a licence to practise.
* Minimum of ST3 level experience in Psychiatry (up to ST8 considered).
* Previous NHS or equivalent psychiatry experience.
* Up-to-date Section 12 approval (or eligibility to obtain).
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
Desirable:
* MRCPsych or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
* Experience across multiple psychiatry subspecialties.
* Approved Clinician (AC) status.
