Geoenvironmental Engineer
Location: Colchester
Salary: £32,000-£36,000

Key Responsibilities:
* Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies) and intrusive ground investigations
* Assisting with the planning and supervision of Phase 2 site investigations
* Carrying out soil and rock logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and sampling activities
* Supervising drilling rigs, excavation works, and subcontractors on site
* Coordinating laboratory testing and interpreting geotechnical and environmental data
* Assisting with geotechnical assessments including settlement and earthworks evaluations
* Supporting remediation projects and validation works
* Preparing technical reports including factual, interpretative, and remediation reports
* Liaising with clients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary design teams
* Ensuring all site activities are carried out in accordance with health & safety and environmental regulations
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree qualified in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
* Experience within a geoenvironmental or geotechnical consultancy environment
* Good understanding of site investigations, contaminated land assessment, and remediation principles
* Strong communication and technical report-writing skills
* Ability to manage workload effectively and work to project deadlines
* A collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
* Experience carrying out site work and interpreting investigation data
* Full UK driving licence
* Right to work in the UK
