What you will do:
* Independently chair Looked After Child Reviews, ensuring all statutory requirements and timescales are met
* Develop and scrutinise care plans, addressing permanency, stability, education, health, and emotional wellbeing
* Monitor progress and accountability, ensuring agreed actions are implemented effectively
* Provide independent challenge to social workers and managers where practice improvements are required
* Escalate concerns appropriately, using the IRO dispute resolution process when necessary
* Ensure children’s and young people’s views are central, actively advocating for their voices to be heard
* Oversee cases subject to care proceedings, ensuring timely and effective safeguarding and permanency planning
* Identify and act on safeguarding concerns promptly and robustly
* Maintain high-quality records and contribute to audits and service development
