Mechanic – ASI | Avonmouth
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our ASI team in Avonmouth. This is a key role within our operations, responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of machinery and vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, a hands-on approach, and take pride in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on machinery and vehicles
* Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely
* Use hand tools and power tools effectively for maintenance and repair tasks
* Accurately record all work completed, including parts used and time spent
* Work closely with team members to improve equipment performance and reliability
* Follow all health & safety procedures and maintain a clean, organised workspace
* Keep up to date with industry developments and mechanical best practices
Skills & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Mechanics (essential)
* Proven mechanical knowledge with strong fault-finding abilities
* Confident use of hand tools and power tools
* Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Good communication skills for sharing technical information
Working Hours
* Monday to Friday
* 10-hour shifts
* Overtime available
* Weekend availability required
