Ashley Kate Finance are working on behalf of a well-established charity to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of the charity, ensuring all procedures are executed accurately, efficiently, and in line with regulatory and policy frameworks. You will be responsible for delivering robust financial management, supporting senior leadership with strategic insight, and providing high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain timely and accurate management accounts using Xero and Excel
Produce statutory accounts for the charity and trading company in line with SORP and Companies Act
Manage weekly cashflow forecasts and report daily to SLT on variances
Prepare for and support external audits
Oversee bank reconciliations, control accounts, and credit card processes
Generate invoices and prepare payments for authorisation
Post monthly journals including prepayments, accruals, and deferred income
Develop and report on annual budgets, forecasts, and departmental reports
Lead monthly budget review meetings with managers
Manage coding and analysis of multiple income streams (e.g., JustGiving, Stripe, Blackbaud/Raiser's Edge)
