The Role
As a Lead Support Worker, you'll play a key part in shaping daily life in the home. You will:
* Be a consistent role model for young people, showing empathy, patience, and understanding.
* Lead shifts, guiding the team to keep children's needs and voices at the centre of everything we do.
* Support young people to enjoy everyday experiences – school, hobbies, family time, and celebrating achievements big and small.
* Encourage independence, choice, and resilience, while providing support through challenges.
* Ensure records and plans reflect each young person's journey, wishes, and progress.
* Work alongside colleagues, families, and professionals to secure the best outcomes for every child.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
* Believes every young person deserves safe, nurturing, and person-centred care.
* Has at least 2 years' experience in a children's residential care setting.
* Holds a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – essential.
* Can lead and inspire a team with warmth, fairness, and positivity.
* Brings resilience and creativity to problem-solving.
* Holds a full UK driving licence.
