Infrastructure Engineer
An established not-for-profit membership organisation is seeking an experienced and proactive Infrastructure Engineer to join its IT team. The Role
The Infrastructure Engineer will act as a global administrator for the organisation's Microsoft 365 estate and Azure environment. You will support IT operations, lead infrastructure projects, and maintain high standards of security, availability, and usability for all systems. This is a varied role combining day-to-day IT support with longer-term project delivery and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
* Administer and enhance Microsoft 365, Azure, Endpoint Manager, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and related systems.
* Lead and deliver change projects involving end-user computing, cloud technologies, and IT security.
* Respond to and manage security incidents, including developing incident response processes.
* Provide 1st-3rd line support to internal users and external partners in a hybrid working environment.
* Manage IT hardware, software licensing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
* Develop technical documentation and deliver user training to improve system understanding and adoption.
* Stay up to date with industry developments and recommend best practice improvements.
About You
Essential skills and experience:
* Minimum of three years' experience in an IT helpdesk and infrastructure support role.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, Azure, and cloud environments.
* Experience with information security tools and responding to security incidents.
* Logical thinking, excellent problem-solving ability, and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work collaboratively.
Desirable qualifications:
* Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate
* CompTIA A+ or Security+
* Degree-level education or equivalent experience

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 including benefits
