Job Description:
Salary: £60,000-£75,000 plus annual bonus, company vehicle.
* Base site with home working.
* Occasional travel to company assets in your local region (South East UK). (roughly 50/50)
Job Purpose:
Outsource UK’s client is a global bulk liquid storage and transportation firm looking to hire Control and Instrumentation Engineers regionally. You will manage, maintain, and improve control and instrumentation systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations, providing technical support across operations, maintenance, and projects, and ensuring adherence to engineering standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* System Management: Maintain and improve SCADA, PLC, DCS, and IACS systems for optimal performance.
* Installation & Commissioning: Oversee installation and commissioning of new control systems or upgrades.
* Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with instrumentation and control systems; support system maintenance, backup, and disaster recovery.
* Documentation: Review and prepare technical documents, including system specifications and commissioning procedures.
* Vendor & Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors and contractors for troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant experience in control and instrumentation systems.
* Experience with DCS/PLC/SCADA system design, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
* Ability to review and produce technical documents such as schematics, loop drawings, and system specifications.
