This role is to provide ongoing engineering development and maintenance of the QMRE Pyrolysis Facility near Hoo, Rochester, carrying out all planned and reactive maintenance works, ensuring that the plant is maintained and able to operate at the highest possible performance. All work will be completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, whilst following all Health & Safety and legislative requirements. This will necessitate a flexible and adaptive working approach both to developing solutions to challenges and working patterns, whilst promoting a positive workplace culture. This role will be particularly suitable for a self-motivated, multi-skilled maintenance engineer with firsthand experience of the process industry who is looking to join a young company and help shape maintenance and plant engineering for the future.
Responsibilities and accountabilities:

To take direction from the Site Operations Manager as to the plant maintenance and inspection needs and develop priorities to meet timelines required,
*
Ensure all data on completed works is captured in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for all planned & unplanned work.

Ensure all activities are carried out in line with all relevant Health & Safety legislation and good working practices (safe systems of work, completing all necessary safety assessments, audits, inspections, calibrations, etc.)
*
Be an integral part of the Operations Team, by working alongside them to develop a detailed understanding of the site operations and challenges and working together to improve plant efficiencies and utilisation.

Assist in identifying and maintaining material stocks required for maintenance activities (critical spares, other spares, stock, and consignment stock, etc) so that all works are completed in required time scales and plant efficiency and utilisation is not impacted.

Direct participation in and input to safety assessments and meetings (e.g. Hazop and risk assessments, development of safe systems of work) relating to plant modifications, additions etc., seeking external, third-party validation or expertise where necessary.

Level 3 qualifications in electrical/mechanical maintenance.

Proven and significant work experience as a maintenance engineer in a related field.
