Maintenance Technician
Location: Bedlington
Salary: Dependent on Experience
Our client, a leader in their field, is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to join their growing team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment to meet business targets
* Be competent in all Maintenance Engineering principles
* Demonstrate company values through behaviour
* Respond to equipment breakdowns, diagnosing and rectifying faults
* Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities
* Perform fault finding on equipment and source parts
* Analyze breakdown causes and implement corrective actions
* Undertake minor electronic repairs
* Understand production needs and make adjustments to ensure quality and process control
* Set up machines and train others
* Participate in Quality Improvement Teams
* Obtain quotations and raise Purchase Requisitions for machine parts
* Maintain up-to-date preventative maintenance logs and repair records
* Conduct risk assessments on plant and equipment
* Ensure safe working practices are always followed
Ideal Candidate:
* BTEC NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Effective communication skills across all business areas
* Attention to detail
* Good time management
* Problem solving and decision-making skills
* HNC in relevant Engineering/Maintenance discipline
* SAP experience (desirable)
* 5+ years post-apprenticeship experience
* Proven fault diagnosis experience
* Knowledge of Total Planned Maintenance (TPM)
* Knowledge of pneumatics
Working Hours and Benefits:
* Initially days, with potential shift pattern changes
* Day shifts: Monday – Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-13:00
* Early shift: Monday – Thursday 06:30-14:30, Friday 06:30-14:00
* Late shift: Monday – Thursday 14:30-23:00, Friday 14:00-19:30
* Shift premiums: 17.57% for early shift, 22.97% for late shift
