About the Role
We believe that our residents deserve something ‘Extra Special, Every Day’ and we’re recruiting for a Senior Care Assistant to help us achieve our goals.
At Alston House, our Senior Care Assistants are called Homemaker Leads. They are carers and companions all in one, trusted to give each person the care they need, in the way they like.
Working pattern: 12 hour shifts and alternative weekend rota.
Responsibilities
* Provide individualized care; no two days are the same.
* Support residents with medication, bed making, family meal arrangements, outings, and other personal needs.
* Focus on details that make each resident unique and tailor care accordingly.
* Spend more time with fewer residents to make a real difference in their lives.
* Work in a supportive team environment that values kindness, respect, and professional pride.
Requirements
* Experience as a senior healthcare assistant, healthcare assistant, care assistant, carer, home care assistant or domiciliary care assistant.
* Strong background in a similar care environment.
* Training experience or qualification.
* NVQ Level 3 education desirable.
