We are seeking a qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) to join a growing family investment company with a diverse portfolio across the UK and overseas. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in supporting and shaping the future of a dynamic business.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and reconcile financial records across five Xero entities
* Liaise regularly with accounting and management teams within investee companies
* Develop, manage, and continuously update a detailed cash flow model, including weekly reforecasting based on actual performance
* Prepare and coordinate weekly supplier payment runs for approval
* Respond to ad hoc information requests from the Chief Operating Officer and Chairman
* Prepare and submit VAT returns
* Oversee payroll processes
* Support the Chief Operating Officer with a range of commercial and operational tasks (e.g. insurance renewals)
* Maintain project-level budgets, track actuals vs. forecasts, and liaise with project managers and quantity surveyors
* Issue periodic invoices to tenants and associated companies
* Assist with basic HR administration, including contract documentation and holiday tracking
About you
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA, or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience
* Experience in the food & beverage and/or property sectors is advantageous
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail
* A confident communicator, able to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
