Sales Development Representative
Tangent International are hiring a Sales Development Representative for my client, an innovative environmental technology company delivering real-time monitoring solutions to global customers. This is a pivotal early-career opportunity for someone who wants to go beyond a standard SDR role and build a long-term future in full-cycle B2B sales.
You’ll be mentored directly by a highly experienced sales leader and work closely with the CEO-learning how to prospect, pitch, and close deals in a sector that’s scaling fast and solving real-world environmental challenges.
Candidate Profile
This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of B2B sales experience who is technically curious, eager to grow, and passionate about technology, the environment or sustainability.
You’re naturally inquisitive, coachable, and confident speaking to decision-makers. You want real ownership, fast feedback, and to be surrounded by smart, mission-led people who roll up their sleeves and get things done.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with prospective clients via phone, email, video calls, and in-person meetings to understand needs and introduce tailored solutions.
* Follow up on inbound leads and drive outbound outreach (cold calls, emails, LinkedIn, exhibitions).
* Support sales operations including CRM updates, pipeline tracking, and proposal creation.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with technical, ops, and marketing to ensure customer success.
* Assist in preparing sales documentation, quotations, and technical proposal content.
* Conduct market research to spot new verticals, clients, and partnership opportunities.
* Represent the company at industry exhibitions, site visits, and client meetings (UK and internationally).
Requirements
* Experience: 1–2 years in B2B sales, ideally within technical or SaaS environments.
* Core Skills:
* Prospecting: Skilled in cold outreach across multiple channels (phone, email, LinkedIn).
* Pipeline Management: Confident using CRM tools like HubSpot to manage opportunities.
* Communication: Clear, credible communicator across written and spoken channels.
