About the Role
Working with Veterans into Logistics is more than just a job it’s a chance to make a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country. Our mission is to help Veterans build new careers by supporting them through their HGV training and into meaningful employment. We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to provide both social media management and personal assistant support. This dual role requires creativity, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will manage the company’s online presence while also supporting day-to-day administrative and organisational tasks for the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
* Develop, schedule, and publish engaging content across all social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
* Create content specific to certain anniversaries related to Veterans
* Create or share articles related to our mission
* Monitor, respond, and engage with followers to build brand presence and customer relationships.
* Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and suggest improvements.
* Research trends, hashtags, and industry news to keep content relevant.
* Collaborate with the wider team to align campaigns with company goals.
* Create Quarterly Newsletters to send out to the Charities Partners
* Interview Veterans on completion of their HGV training and collate a case study
Personal Assistant Duties
* Manage diaries, appointments, and schedules for both the General Manager and Head of Patrons & Partners.
* Handle correspondence (emails, calls, and messages) in a professional manner.
* Organise meetings, prepare agendas, and take minutes when required.
* Assist with travel arrangements, bookings, and itineraries.
* Support with ad hoc administrative tasks and projects.
Skills & Requirements
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Proficiency in social media platforms and scheduling
* Basic graphic design/video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar) are desirable.
* Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
* Proactive, creative, and adaptable approach to tasks.
Desirable Experience
* Prior experience working within the Armed Forces, or strong understanding of military culture and community, will be considered advantageous. As this role supports a veteran charity, an appreciation of the unique challenges and needs of veterans will be highly valued.
