Job summary
We are looking to expand our team of well organised team administrators, to provide an efficient support service to the CAMHS Durham and Darlington Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service.
The post is based at our North Durham site, Stanley Primary Care Centre; however, there may be an expectation for successful candidates to travel to our South Durham/Darlington site Sedgefield Community Hospital in cases where cover is needed for leave.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa and therefore the Trust is unable to offer sponsorship for this particular role.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisation skills, have an understanding of administrative/clerical procedures, and experience of working in a busy office environment.
Applicants should be self-motivated, organised and have a flexible approach to work. The ability to work as part of a team as well as taking ownership of their own workload. A willingness to perform repetitive tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail, and have the capacity to prioritise tasks whilst dealing sensitively with issues and maintaining confidential information.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written coupled with proven secretarial skills and previous experience is essential. The successful candidate should promote at all times a positive image of the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service and the wider trust.

Job responsibilities
The CAMHS Durham and Darlington Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service is an expanding multi-professional team working across sites in Stanley and Sedgefield.
The service offers comprehensive assessments for children and young people up to 18 years old.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
-Answering e-mail and telephone enquiries
-Enters team referrals into the trust patient records
- Creates and ensures case note files are up to date and available
-General office duties as required eg photocopying, postage, filing
-Writing letters eg appointments, clinical reports
-Ordering stationary and managing invoices
-Attend meetings and clinical panels to record discussions and outcomes
The post holder may be required to work flexible hours depending on service need.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Qualifications and/or Level 3 Qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience or willingness to work towards Level 3 in Business Administration
2. Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above/New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9) are an essential requirement to be fully competent in the role

4. RSA Level 2 or equivalent Secretarial/administrative experience in a clinical environment
