As the PR Manager, you will enhance Skechers' brand visibility by implementing trend-influenced marketing and public relations strategies across print and digital platforms. You will collaborate closely with Skechers Ambassadors and Athletes to foster growth in both the Lifestyle and Performance divisions through strategic partnerships.
You will be the face of Skechers at various functions, including events and trade exhibitions. This involves cultivating strong relationships with Ambassadors, media representatives, and influencers to promote the brand.

In this role, you will oversee and guide PR marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and target audiences. You will strategically develop targeted pitches tailored to demographics for all Skechers lifestyle and Skechers Performance to secure placements and articles in relevant fashion, pop culture, fitness media, and other category-related channels.
You will also be the direct line manager to the PR Assistant, responsible for day-to-day supervision, supporting systems training, and ongoing development.

What we’re looking for:
* Proven PR experience within the footwear or athletic industry.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to create engaging and persuasive content across various platforms.
* Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and precision.
* Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships at all levels across cross-functional teams.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with Adobe Photoshop and Meltwater.
* High degree of professionalism, tact, and diplomacy.
* Initiative, highly organized, with decision-making abilities.
* Knowledge of popular culture and current fashion/footwear trends.
* Knowledge of football, running, and other sports.
* Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
* A background or knowledge in footwear design principles and technological innovations is highly desirable.
This role is based at our Head Office in St Albans. Willingness to travel for meetings, trade shows, and events, and flexibility to work unsociable hours, including weekends, when necessary, are essential.
