About the Role:
Working direct to the Director of MIS, Exams & Reporting, you will be responsible for ensuring that apprenticeship compliance-based tasks are undertaken for the College to remain compliant with DfE funding rules.
The role will manage apprenticeship data processes, working with the Apprenticeship, Finance and Management Information teams to monitor all apprenticeship related business processes and ensure that data compliance requirements are understood and met, including reduction of the error rate. Prior experience working with the apprenticeship service and apprenticeship related funding rules is essential to this role.

The College operates across three main campuses in Stevenage and Hitchin, employing over 650 staff. With a turnover of £30m, the college provides learning opportunities to over 10,000 students each year from study programmes for 16-18 year olds and apprenticeships through to adult provision locally, regionally and nationally. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Roles and Responsibilities
3. Ensure you are up to date with all elements of the funding rules relating to Apprenticeships and deliver appropriate training to all relevant teams when needed.
4. Work with the Apprenticeship team to ensure that completed enrolment paperwork is reviewed and compliant with current funding rules.
5. Work with the Finance & MI teams to ensure co-investment, additional payments and other financial contributions/transactions are identified, invoiced and monitored.
6. Overall management of the learner evidence pack, working with the Apprenticeship, Finance and Management Information teams to ensure the evidence pack is compliant for audit related activities.
7. Ensure that all breaks in learning for apprentices are recorded correctly.
8. Undertake regular reviews of apprenticeship related PDSATs, working with the appropriate team to resolve errors and monitor future compliance.
9. Support the Head of Business Development (Apprenticeships) with prospective employers explaining eligibility and funding criteria to ensure that apprentices are uploaded to the Apprenticeship Service as part of the enrolment process, and that any issues arising from these activities are resolved.
10. Work with the Head of BI to ensure skills scans remain compliant with the latest funding rules.
11. Manage the process of updating all paperwork required for enrolment and audit in response to changes in funding rules, including designing templates and reviewing processes.
12. Manage the completion process for apprenticeship, ensuring it is undertaken in a timely manner, including recording of Gateway and EPA achievement in the ILR.
13. Review off the Job (OTJ) & progress review information throughout the apprentice’s time in learning and provide early warnings to the Apprenticeship team to ensure delivery remains compliant.
14. Attend Performance Board meetings for the Apprenticeship Team and hold individuals to account on data quality, including the overall error rate.
15. Work with the Apprenticeship & Reporting Teams to ensure that data is up-to-date to ensure accuracy of reports.
16. Work with the Apprenticeship maths & English delivery teams to ensure that accurate information is entered on the ILR to reflect delivery.
17. Work with the ALS & Apprenticeship teams to ensure that learning support records are entered into the ILR and that records remain compliant throughout the support delivery.
18. Manage and undertake other audit and compliance activities as and when they arise.
