Employee Relations Manager
Location: Warwickshire (hybrid working)
I am supporting my client with their search for an Employee Relations leader, looking to step in to a role with real influence, autonomy, and impact.
This is a unique opportunity to join a complex organisation at a pivotal moment of change and transformation. You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of Employee Relations, working at both a strategic and operational level to drive meaningful outcomes across a diverse workforce.
The Opportunity
Reporting into a highly credible and supportive Head of, you’ll be a key member of an effective and collaborative HR Leadership Team where your ideas will be welcomed and your expertise valued.
With significant scope and autonomy, you’ll lead the evolution of Employee Relations through a period of organisational transformation—embedding modern, proactive approaches and driving a solutions-focused culture.
The role
* Leading the Employee Relations strategy and operational delivery across a large, unionised environment
* Driving the resolution of complex casework with a focus on early, effective outcomes
* Shaping policy, employment frameworks, and best practice aligned to organisational change
* Building strong partnerships with Trade Unions and senior stakeholders
* Overseeing absence, wellbeing, and engagement approaches to improve organisational performance
* Leading and developing a sizeable HR Advisory and ER team
* Playing a key role in wider workforce transformation, change programmes, and service improvement
About You
* A passionate and experienced HR/ER leader with deep expertise in employment relations and legislation
* A track record of leading teams through change within complex environments and demonstrating tangible results
* Strong stakeholder management skills with a flexible style and the ability to influence at a senior level
* Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and ideally suppliers or service delivery
* Solutions-focused, pragmatic, and comfortable operating with ambiguity and autonomy
* Ideally some experience of working in the not for profit or public sector
