As a Repair Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for repairing a diverse range of industrial electronic equipment down to component level, often without manufacturers information.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Component Repair Engineer with specialist knowledge in high voltage inverters, Variable Speed Drives (VSDs), and servo drives. This hands-on role involves the fault diagnosis, testing, and repair of power electronics down to component level, helping to maintain and extend the life of critical industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Fault diagnosis and component-level repair of high voltage inverters, VSDs, and servo drives
* Replace and rework electronic components including SMD and through-hole parts
* Use test equipment such as oscilloscopes and mustimeters
* Interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
* Perform functional testing and final verification of repaired units
* Maintain accurate repair records and support quality assurance processes
* Work independently, with support of other engineers around to help when required
* Collaborate effectively with our team of engineers, sharing knowledge and ideas to enhance our collective expertise.
Skills Required
Essential:
* Proven experience repairing high voltage inverters, VSDs, and servo drives
* Strong diagnostic skills and understanding of electronic circuit theory
* Proficiency with test and measurement equipment
* Ability to work independently and within a team environment
* Attention to detail and a methodical approach to fault finding
Desirable:
* Experience within the industry
* Familiarity with major drive manufacturers (e.g. Siemens, ABB, Schneider, etc.)
* PC literate
