SEN Teaching Assistant Job in Tameside

Your New RoleAs a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, helping them to access the curriculum and develop essential life skills. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies. This is a full-time, long-term role with the potential to be permanent for the right candidate.
What You'll Need to Succeed
1. Experience working with children or young people with SEN, either in a school or care setting
2. A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to supporting pupils with additional needs
3. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
4. A relevant qualification (, CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Certificate) is desirable but not essential
5. An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one through Hays
