Scheme Manager : Homeownership : Part Time

We have an opportunity for a Scheme Manager : Homeownership to join our Housing Management team based in Stowmarket, Suffolk. As a Scheme Manager : Homeownership you will be responsible for providing a high quality housing management service which will include reporting and following up communal repairs, supporting the homeownership team with special projects, managing local contractors and promoting independent living. This is a rewarding yet challenging role and is ideal for someone who has previous experience of working in a building or facilities management role with older people in a housing management setting and aware of safeguarding concerns. This is a residential role, but this can be reviewed with the right candidate.

Providing reports to the Homeownership Officer

Being the first point of call for residents and interviewing new residents

Promoting independent living and sign posting to appropriate agencies

Encouraging residents to organize, and get involved, in activities

Completing mandatory compliance tasks along with health and safety checks

Reporting and monitoring repairs to conclusion, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
:
Wellbeing calls to residents via warden call system
:
Providing cover at schemes in the region for other Scheme Managers
:
Managing low level anti:social behaviour
Skills and experiences:

Numeracy and literacy to the equivalent of GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths

Some experience of working with older people and understanding their individual needs or similar

Ability to work alone and manage workloads to meet deadlines

Working knowledge of handling confidential and sensitive information

Good interpersonal and customer care skills
:
Experience of using housing management software
:
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
:
Occasional travel may be requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence is essential
