Head of Finance - Manufacturing Location: Slough Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 Job Type: Permanent | Full-time Sector: Aerospace | Capital Equipment | Manufacturing A specialist aerospace manufacturing business is seeking a Head of Finance to take full ownership of its finance function. With a turnover of c£30M, the company designs and manufactures large, high-value equipment and vehicles supplied to customers worldwide, operating within a complex import/export and project-based environment. This is a senior leadership role offering the opportunity to work closely with the executive team, providing financial insight, strengthening controls and supporting the continued growth of an internationally focused manufacturing operation. The Role You will manage the day-to-day finance function whilst providing clear, forward-looking financial information to support operational performance, cashflow management and strategic decision making. Key Responsibilities: Own monthly close, management accounts and balance sheet integrity Manage project accounting, WIP, revenue recognition and rolling cashflow forecasting Provide financial analysis and business partnering to operations and senior leadership Oversee UK and international VAT, duties and indirect tax within a global import/export environment Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, processes, systems and data quality Skills & Experience: Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent) Experience in a Financial Controller or Head of Finance role within a £10-50M manufacturing or engineering business Strong experience in project accounting, working capital and cashflow management Knowledge of multi-currency operations and international trade (import/export, duties, VAT) Hands-on, commercially minded and comfortable working closely with operational and leadership teams Why Apply?
