Equipment and Stores Service Co‑ordinator

We are recruiting for an Equipment and Stores Service Co‑ordinator who shares our vision to deliver consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The role has devolved responsibility for the local procurement and maintenance of consumables, equipment and service contracts within the Operating Theatre Department. You will work with the Theatre Manager/Service Manager, Procurement Team, Estates, Facilities, Quality Improvement and the local supplies department.
The post‑holder supports the Service Manager and Theatre Manager in coordinating and managing clinical equipment and supplies to support planned and unplanned surgical procedures.
Main duties of the job
* Collaborate with external teams (e.g. Access/Waiting List Managers, specialty managers, EMBE, Estates) to ensure robust communication and effective management of the patient’s surgical pathway.
* Work unsupervised, manage own workload, and refer to the Service Manager when necessary.
* Innovate more effective systems to benefit the department and the Trust.
* Deputise for the Service Manager as required in stock management.
* Coordinate, order and receipting of loan instruments and implants under the supervision of Clinical Leads/Theatre Manager.
* Operate independently with the wider theatre team available for reference at all times.

Qualifications/Training
* Evidence of continuing professional development.
Previous Experience
* Staff management, including sickness absence, appraisals, and performance.
* Team working.

* Preparing agendas and reports for meetings.
* NHS experience.
* Financial and activity management.
* Close working with senior and/or clinicians.
* PAS access.
