Job Summary
The North Lewisham Primary Care Network (NLPCN) is the host provider for the Enhanced Access Service for patients across nine GP practice members. The service offers a wide range of appointments, from GP nurse and phlebotomy to non‑clinical services such as health & wellbeing coaching and social prescribing. In partnership with the Integrated Care Board, the PCN also runs additional clinical services aimed at preventing and treating cardiovascular and kidney disease, including health checks, immunisations, hypertension reviews, diabetes reviews and renal cardio‑metabolic clinics.
Responsibilities
* Provide reception and administrative support for the Enhanced Access Service.
* Support additional clinical services or clinics, including call‑recalls to patients.
* Maintain remote booking ledgers within EMIS.
* Ensure appointments meet inclusion criteria and notify practices of any inappropriate bookings.
* Follow up clinician‑assigned tasks such as referrals.
* Book or arrange referral appointments using the electronic referral system (e‑RS) and manage worklists, enquiries, and alerts.
* Oversee e‑RS and admin team worklist, conducting weekly task audits.
* Alert the Enhanced Access team to any schedule changes.
* Manage vaccine stock checks and ordering.
* Order medical supplies as required.
* Contribute to the development of new and existing services and resources.
* Communicate any service changes to participating practices.
* Support service evaluation for Enhanced Access Service.
* Complete stock takes for consumables.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
* Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and collate information.
* Ensure reporting templates are accurate and up‑to‑date.
* Stay current with primary care and the wider healthcare system.
* Liaise proactively with practices regarding service delivery.
* Engage in personal development and continuous learning activities.
Essential Experience
* Cooperative working across organisational systems.
* Experience handling highly confidential or sensitive information.
* Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
* Minimum of 2 years administration experience in an NHS setting.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage specific aspects of the service.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection.
* Familiarity with EMIS or SystemOne.

* Experience with the north Lewisham community.
* Experience in general practice.

Employment Details
* Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 per year.
* Contract: Permanent.
