Overview
Work collaboratively with service managers and clinical teams to identify, review, and expand new and non-traditional clinical placement opportunities as services evolve. Conduct regular visits to practice areas and assist new placement sites in identifying learning opportunities to ensure they are fully prepared for the allocation of students and trainees. Maintain accurate, up-to-date information on current placement capacity and demand across service areas. Partner with the Senior AHP Practice Education Coordinator to monitor and report placement capacity and demand. Support the delivery of high-quality practice placements for all non-medical students and learners. Support educational audits to ensure learning environments meet required standards. Support the Multi-Professional Preceptorship Programme and the Return to Practice Module for practitioners. Build and maintain effective working relationships with HPFT staff, service users, HEIs, and external organisations such as Health Education England (East of England). Provide relevant data to the Non-Medical Education Lead for reports required by the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Workforce Partnership, HEIs, and Health Education England reviews.
* Professional health or social care qualification e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy
* Registered health professional e.g. NMC, HCPC
* Post-registration clinical experience
* Evidence of continuing professional development including regular attendance on internal and external study programmes
* Desirable criteria: a professional teaching/assessment qualification e.g. ENB 998, M&P, MIPs, Cert Ed; knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement; knowledge of pre-registration standards of education
* I.T. skills – Microsoft Office
* You must have appropriate UK professional registration
