MOT Tester Required, in Chippenham
We are seeking an experienced MOT Tester to join a prestigious Automotive Service Group in Chippenham. As an MOT Tester, you will play a vital responsibility in maintaining high safety standards across multiple centres, delivering exceptional service, and building lasting customer relationships. Flexible working hours, with a 41.5-hour week from 8:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday and one in two Saturdays from 8:30am to 5:00pm, with flexibility on working hours for the right professional. Duties:
Conduct MOT Testing in accordance with government standards, ensuring all vehicles meet safety and compliance requirements.
Support customers through the testing process, providing clear updates and explaining any required work or reasons for test failure
Diagnose and carry out related servicing and repairs where applicable as an MOT Tester
Support workshop operations, maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety
Support the team by liaising effectively to ensure smooth workflow
Keep accurate records of all inspections, repairs, and test resultsRequirements:
Active Class 4 and 7 MOT testing licence is essential
Valid UK driving licence with minimal points
Qualification to IMI/NVQ Level 2/3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent, is preferred.
Alternatively, extensive hands-on experience in vehicle repair with an active MOT licence will also be considered for the MOT Tester position.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills
