Veterinary Surgeon – Onsite – Stevenage
Fix Term Contract – 4 months. Competitive salary up to £70,000 (DOE). £65k for L2 vet, £70k for L3 vet (Full Time Equivalent).
Contract: 30–40 hours per week. Shift options: 08:00–17:00 or 08:00–20:00.
Clinical practice: First opinion small animal specialist site.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver primary care outpatient and OOH consultations.
- Receive member practice case transfers and provide timely consultations.
- Provide inpatient care, conduct medical work‑ups, and perform routine and emergency surgeries.
- Conduct diagnostic investigations and lead surgical and medical cases.
Qualifications & Experience
- Registered with RCVS (and VDS) – fees paid in full.
- Minimum 2+ years of veterinary experience, preferably in small animal practice.
- Strong clinical autonomy and ability to manage a varied caseload.
- Excellent communication skills and client‑care orientation.
