JOB TITLE: Senior Solution Architect
SALARY: £70,929- £78,810
LOCATIONS: Leeds, Edinburgh
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
In the role of Lead Technical Architect, you will coordinate the architecture, compose, and MVP delivery of coordinated technical solutions within the LBG organisation! Your main focus will be on implementing new solutions, improving existing solutions, integrating platforms, and providing tailored technology solutions to improve colleague experience and efficiency!
Day to day, you’ll be:
1. Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to align technology landscape with strategic vision.
2. Influence technology roadmaps to support planning, strategy, and resource estimation.
3. Engage with strategic partners and vendors to shape product capabilities.
4. Lead hands-on evaluations of emerging technologies to identify customer value.
5. Provide high-level cost and resource estimates to support prioritisation and budgeting.
6. Design large-scale technology changes not aligned with existing feature teams.
7. Guide new technology designs through governance processes.
8. Review engineering designs for quality and alignment.
9. Maintain logical high-level designs for products.
10. Develop and uphold engineering standards, guardrails, and best practices.
11. Continuously improve Modern Workplace tools and processes through optimisation and automation.
12. Promote best practices by participating in guilds and knowledge-sharing forums.

Specifically we’re looking for:
13. Broad expertise across modern workplace technologies, including infrastructure, collaboration tools, devices, security, data protection, identity, automation, and APIs.
14. Strong research and problem-solving skills, able to transform intricate challenges into innovative solutions.
15. Credibility and influence, building trusted relationships and inspiring others with a clear vision of what’s possible through technology.
16. Critical thinking and collaboration, working effectively across teams and driving outcomes through motivation and thoughtful engagement.
17. Clear and confident communication, able to articulate design decisions and direction in both written and verbal formats.
18. A growth mindset, continuously learning, applying new knowledge, and sharing insights to elevate team capability.
And any experience of these would be really useful
19. Designing and testing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Intune, Entra ID, Defender for Endpoint, Office 365, Power Platform, and other modern workplace technologies.
20. Scripting and automation using languages like PowerShell, Python or Bash, and tools such as GitHub Actions, Harness, and YAML pipelines.
21. Working with APIs and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and standardised tooling for integration and delivery.
22. Knowledge of current security and cloud infrastructure, including zero trust principles, security focused on identity, UEM technologies, and virtualization on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
