About the Role:

The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
* Proven hands-on experience in automotive repair, with at least 3 years as a technician in a dealership or high-volume repair environment.
* Master/Senior level certification or equivalent manufacturer certification is required.
* Experience working with a range of vehicle systems including engine, transmission, electrical, suspension, braking, HVAC, and preferably hybrid and electric systems.
Skills:
* Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills with proficiency in using diagnostic tools, scan equipment, and repair software.
* Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail to accurately diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues.
* Effective communication skills for liaising with service advisers, colleagues, and customers.
* Ability to mentor and train junior technicians, promoting best practices and technical knowledge.
* Physical capability to perform tasks involving lifting, standing for long periods, and operating equipment safely.
Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or trade school education preferred.
* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
* Master/Senior technician certifications or equivalent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct advanced diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on light commercial vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety.
* Use manufacturer diagnostic tools and interpret technical service bulletins, repair manuals, and diagrams accurately.
* Document all work clearly and maintain accurate records on work orders.
* Mentor and guide apprentice and journeyman technicians to support their development and skill growth.
* Communicate effectively with service advisers and customers regarding vehicle repair needs and progress.
* Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
* Maintain a clean and organised working environment to promote professionalism and efficiency.
