JOB DESCRIPTION
Join a dynamic and growing team at the heart of the fleet rental and truck & trailer industry. Were looking for a proactive, hands-on Depot Assistant to help keep our depot running smoothly and efficiently.
This is a varied role that combines logistics, administration, and customer serviceperfect for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and has a passion for keeping things organised and on the move.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
1. Prepare trucks, trailers, and equipment for hireincluding cleaning and basic maintenance
2. Manage and organise incoming/outgoing stock, ensuring accurate logging and dispatch
3. Assist in the movement and inspection of fleet vehicles
4. Maintain accurate inventory and complete service reports
5. Support back-office operations and key account management
6. Ensure all documentation is completed correctly and filed appropriately
7. Provide excellent service to customers both face-to-face and over the phone
8. Assist with customer collections and drop-offs, ensuring smooth service at all times
9. Help build and maintain positive customer relationships
10. Keep the depot clean, tidy, and compliant with safety regulations
11. Report hazards or incidents and ensure best practice in depot safety
REQUIREMENTS
12. Experience in a depot, warehouse, or fleet environment is a plus
13. Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
14. Good communication and teamworking abilities
15. Comfortable with manual handling and working in a fast-paced setting
16. Knowledge of health and safety procedures
