Legal Administrator / Paralegal - Full Time Permanent
Our Client
We are delighted to be working with this well established Edinburgh based law firm who specialise in various aspects of law including conveyancing, family and estate law.
Your new role
You will work as part of a team to support the family law department. The role consists of secretarial and administrative support to both internal and external customers. Service is of the utmost importance therefore high levels of accuracy and timely responses must be maintained at all times.
Duties will include:
1. To provide general secretarial, administrative and client support primarily in the area of family law, supporting the solicitors in the family law department.
2. To provide holiday cover and other assistance for other members of the support team across all departments as needed.
3. To assist with office administration duties supporting the Practice Manager as needed.
4. To effectively use the case management system in production of legal documents and letters.
5. To follow office administrative procedures to ensure smooth and reliable flow of work through the office.
What you'll need:
If you have experience in a legal support role then that would be advantageous although our client is happy to consider candidates from other backgrounds who have strong and relevant transferable skills in addition to the below:
6. Computer literate - MS Office Suite
7. Audio typing
8. Excellent communication skills while being pleasant and personable both in person and over the phone
9. Team player who is happy to adapt to the needs of the business
10. Ability to work to tight deadlines while managing a varied workload
11. Demonstrates a high level of discretion as the role would involve dealing with confidential matters
Work Pattern
This is a full time role where you will work 8.30am - 5pm Monday - Friday with the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis.
