Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
Location: Lewisham, South East London
Salary: £80 - £100 per day (depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Start Date: September 2025 (or sooner)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with a variety of learning needs.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, long-term role suitable for a candidate who has experience or a strong interest in working with children with special educational needs, including:
* Supprt pupils with special need like Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD),ADHD, Speech and language difficulties, SEMH challenges.
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
* Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Work closely with the SENCO, parents, and external professionals
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children with SEN (desirable)
* A positive, patient and empathetic nature
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
