Product Engineer – Trelleborg Group
Join us as a Product Engineer in our Rotherham, United Kingdom facility, working as part of the Product and Innovations team to develop new Orkot® products through the full product life cycle.

Hours of Work
This position is 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexible time available.
Responsibilities
* Market Research
o Conduct market research
o Analyse data and trends
o Liase and discuss topics with stakeholders including end users, customers, segment directors, sales and applications engineers, and MARCOMMs
* Product Development
o Develop product specifications and test protocols
o Carry out trials and experiments
o Analyse data, including the use of statistical tools such as capability analysis
o Produce reports and present data to stakeholders, including peers, management, sales teams and customers
o Complete product/application calculations
o Contribute to design work
* Marketing
o Design, review and present marketing material
o Deliver presentations to internal and external customers
* Sales
o Support creation of sales plans
o Train sales teams
* Other
o Deliver against relevant targets and goals
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related technical subject or equivalent experience
* Good knowledge of the innovation and R&D process
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a product engineering role within a manufacturing environment
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
* Ability to manage time effectively
* Keen attention to detail
* Good organisational skills
* Effective communicator
* Good numeracy skills and sound technical understanding
* Project management experience
* IT – MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Minitab (desirable)
* Problem solving and creativity – adept at breaking down problems and presenting solutions
* Capable of interpreting and translating data
* Competent use of 3D CAD – (NX desirable)
Although not essential, experience with composites and bearings is desirable.
