Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in care homes or through home care services. Your primary focus will be on assisting individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being, while also maintaining clear communication with healthcare professionals and family members. A valid driving licence is preferred as the role may involve travelling to various locations.
Responsibilities
* Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals in daily living activities such as meal preparation and feeding.
* Help maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
* Follow care plans as outlined by healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual.
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to provide updates on patient status and needs.
* Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately using IT systems as required.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge related to patient care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* Ability to follow care plans meticulously and adapt to individual patient needs.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for travel between care locations.
* Proficiency in using IT systems for documentation purposes is beneficial.
* A caring attitude with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
