Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll be a key part of our finance operations. Your responsibilities will include:
* Posting and allocating client receipts daily
* Managing the company’s credit control inbox
* Sending copy invoices and statements to clients
* Reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy
* Proactively chasing overdue debt
* Maintaining accurate client account diaries and chasing records
* Identifying bad debts and overpayments, escalating as needed
* Liaising with the billings team to resolve invoice discrepancies
* Credit checking and setting up new customer accounts
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and internal teams
* Attending weekly debtors meetings to update on risks and aged debt items
* Supporting the annual audit process with external auditors
Essential Qualifications/Experience
What we’re looking for
* At least 2 years’ experience in credit control
* Strong administration and organisational skills
* Excellent IT skills, especially Microsoft Excel
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent communication and numeracy skills
* High attention to detail
* Team player with a proactive approach
Desired Qualifications/Experience
* Experience with Xero software (training provided if needed)
