Overview
Associate Clinical Director for Allied Health Professions (Band 8b) at Child and Family Health Devon (CFHD). The role is a fixed-term contract for two years, part-time (two days per week) to work alongside the current post holder.
This advert is open to Allied Health Professionals staff employed by Children and Family Health Devon, Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Devon Partnership Trust and the Integrated Care Board (ICB).
Job Responsibilities
* Work alongside the existing Associate Clinical Director for Allied Health Professions to provide senior leadership support to CFHD. You will be accountable for the Patient Experience quality domain and for line-managing two participation workers. You will hold a small Consultant AHP clinical caseload as part of your job plan. You will contribute to the quality and governance of CFHD services.
* Based at CFHD sites (e.g., Barnstaple, Tiverton, Exeter, Dartington or Torbay) with the option for some remote work as part of the job plan.

The service is undergoing redesign, development and growth; leadership through change and keeping children and young people at the centre is essential.
Qualifications
Essential
* Master's Degree in a field relevant to children's healthcare or equivalent demonstrable knowledge (through Masters-level training and experience)
* Professional qualification in Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy or Physiotherapy
* Registration with the relevant professional body
* Evidence of recent, relevant continuing professional development (CPD)
Desirable
* Management or Leadership training
Knowledge and Experience
Essential
* Extensive knowledge of NHS provision for children, young people and families
* Knowledge of national developments within the Allied Health Professions workforce
* Knowledge of relevant legislation, NHS policy and other national policies related to children and young people
Desirable
* Experience of managing a team
* Experience of engaging stakeholders and users in designing and delivering change
* Evidence of achievement across the four pillars of advanced AHP practice (clinical, leadership, education and research)
Specific Skills
* Ability to present complex, often sensitive information clearly in both written and verbal formats
* Ability to engage with a wide range of professionals and work in partnership with different disciplines and agencies to meet service needs
* Ability to lead effectively with compassion
