We are currently looking for a Business Support staff member to join our administrative team within Adopt South West. This post will work as part of the post-adoption support administrative team, providing essential support to our social workers, practitioners, team managers and senior managers.
The role focuses on supporting families after adoption orders have been granted. This includes coordinating therapeutic support, supporting the delivery of events and activities for adoptive families, assisting with adult adoption enquiries, and ensuring accurate, timely administration across a wide range of post-adoption support processes.
You will play a key role in helping us provide high‑quality support to adoptive families and adopted adults, ensuring they receive timely, well‑organised and sensitive assistance when they need it most.

What skills and qualities we need from you:
8. Confidence using Office 365 applications including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint and Microsoft Edge (basic training will be provided)
9. Strong attention to detail, with accurate data inputting and record‑keeping skills

11. Good communication skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams

Key tasks and responsibilities:
16. Managing shared team mailboxes, responding to and directing communications appropriately
17. Supporting post-adoption support processes such as:
– coordinating events and activities
– processing referrals for therapeutic support
– preparing documents and templates
– supporting Adult Adoption enquiries
– managing databases and trackers
18. Communicating with families (where appropriate), social workers, team managers, senior managers and external agencies
19. Updating internal recording systems accurately (including Eclipse and SharePoint)
20. Inputting data, uploading documents, and maintaining digital records
21. Providing direct administrative support to social workers, family practitioners, team managers and senior managers
22. You will be based in the main Regional Office for Adopt South West at County Hall, Exeter
