As an Assistant Project Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager,providing essential support across a diverse range of projects. Your responsibilities will encompass project governance, supply chain relationships, client interactions, and ensuring adherence to quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in ensuring compliance with legal and industry standards throughout project execution
● Work alongside the Project Manager to establish and maintain robust health and safety management arrangements
● Administer the Project Management Plan, with a strong focus on incorporating quality assurance measures
● Collaborate with the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor to manage supply chain notifications and project costs effectively
● Contribute to the management of internal design costs in coordination with relevant stakeholders
● Hold internal and external stakeholders accountable for meeting programme obligations
● Identify and escalate key project issues and risks, proposing actionable mitigation plans
● Assist the Site Manager in lookahead planning and supply chain progress reporting
● Represent the Project Manager in client meetings, providing comprehensive reports on issues and actions
About you:
● Education to HND/HNC level, along with vocational professional/management qualifications or equivalent experience
● Thorough understanding of relevant health and safety legislation, particularly CDM duty holder relationships
● Hold a valid H&S qualification such as SMSTS/IOSH/NEBOSH
● Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., APM, CMI, ICE)
● Demonstrated experience in delivering multi-disciplinary projects
● Possession of a full driving licence
● Previous experience in water treatment plants (highly advantageous)
