Temporary Quantity Surveyor – Public Sector (Housing Repairs) – Near Glasgow Rate: £30–£35 per hour (depending on experience and pay type) Duration: Minimum 6 months Location: Near Glasgow (travel required – must have driving licence and access to a vehicle) An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a respected public sector organisation based near Glasgow on a temporary contract. This role will focus primarily on housing repairs and maintenance contracts, supporting the delivery of cost-effective and compliant services. Key Responsibilities: Manage and monitor housing repair and maintenance contracts Conduct valuations, cost analysis, and financial reporting Support procurement and contract administration in line with public sector standards Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure value for money Provide accurate cost forecasts and identify commercial risks Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within housing, maintenance, or public sector environments Strong understanding of Schedule of Rates and contract management Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (site visits required) Excellent communication and analytical skills Please note: This role is inside IR35.
