Marrons’ Nottingham office is looking for Senior/Associate Planners to join their team. Responsibilities:
* Leading the development and implementation of planning strategies and policies to support sustainable growth and development across the UK.
* Managing planning applications, appeals, and consultations in accordance with relevant policy, legislation and best practices.
* Conducting site assessments, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to inform decision‑making processes.
* Engaging with local communities, businesses, and government agencies to foster positive relationships and address planning‑related issues.
* Providing expert advice and guidance on planning matters to clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
* Drafting Planning Statements, Planning Appraisals and Statements of Case in support of planning applications and planning appeals.
* Monitoring legislative changes, emerging trends, and best practices in planning and urban planning to inform decision‑making and strategy development.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a Planning role (ideally from within local government, consultancy or development industry)
* A relevant Planning qualification (or working towards one)
* Membership of RTPI or working towards membership
* An understanding of the planning process and systems
* Excellent writing skills with a strong eye for detail and high level of accuracy
* Excellent communication skills and a friendly approachable manner
* Ability to prioritise workload and manage time efficiently
* Drive, commitment, enthusiastic and a team player approach
