Job Summary
As a Quality Engineer at Indicon, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electrical control products throughout the manufacturing process. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain quality control processes, drive continuous improvement, and uphold industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Quality Control: Monitor, evaluate, and maintain quality standards through all stages of manufacturing, from raw materials to finished goods.
* Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
* Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and work with teams to implement changes that enhance product quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective action plans.
* Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
* Supplier Quality: Collaborate with suppliers to assess their quality management systems and work together to resolve quality-related issues.
* Training: Provide training and guidance to manufacturing and quality control personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices.
* Testing and Inspection: Work with Test and Inspection teams to ensure products meet defined specifications.
* Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, driving Lean Six Sigma and other quality methodologies within the organization.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a quality engineering role within the electrical manufacturing industry.
* Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
* Familiarity with electrical testing and inspection techniques.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
* Proficiency in quality tools and software (Six Sigma, statistical analysis, etc.).
* Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
* Experience in a disciplined, responsive customer service-oriented environment.
