Asa Band 7 Clinical Educator, you will lead on the delivery of high-qualityeducation, training and professional development for our clinical teams. Youwill play a pivotal role in ensuring our workforce is skilled, competent andconfident in delivering safe, effective and compassionate care across a widerange of clinical settings.
Weare looking for a highly motivated registered nurse with:
Current NMC registration.
Substantial post-registration experience within medicine, surgery or aspecialist clinical paediatric area.
Proven experience in clinical education and teaching.
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
A passion for developing others and driving excellence in clinical care.
A teaching or practice assessor qualification.

Education& Training:
Design, implement and evaluate innovative education programmes to supportclinical competence and professional growth.
Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements across Medicine,Surgery and Specialty Services.
Facilitate simulation-based and bedside teaching tailored to staff learningneeds.
Quality& Assurance:
Drive quality improvement and assurance initiatives, through education andevidence-based practice.
Contribute to clinical governance processes by supporting learning fromincidents and audits.
WorkforceDevelopment:
Support the professional development of all clinical-facing nursing andhealthcare staff.
Work collaboratively to promote workforce planning and retention.
SpecialistSupport:
Utilise and share specialist skills to meet the needs of patients withcomplex and specialised conditions.
Act as a clinical role model, demonstrating expert practice and supportingmultidisciplinary teamwork.
Leadership:
Provide visible leadership, coaching and mentorship to develop confidence andcapability within the nursing workforce.
Collaborate with matrons, ward leaders and senior nursing teams to aligneducation priorities with service objectives.

Job responsibilities
Thejob holder will play a lead role in ensuring the development of clinicalstaff both registered and unregistered. The job holder will enable thedevelopment of clinical practice mentors, assessors and key trainers,providing supervision through on-site support and Trustwide continuousprofessional development activities. The post holder will be responsible forleading clinical education and associated resources in their designatedclinical areas. The successful candidate will provide a high standard of education.
Thejob holder will support the assessment of the quality of clinical and otherpractice learning environments, and implement interventions for improvement.The job holder will support mentors and assessors and ensure clinicalprofessional development for preceptorship and other role developments. Theywill enhance the quality of care delivery from both the registered andunregistered workforce. The post holder may be line managing a juniorclinical educator depending on the clinical service unit.
Youwill be expected to lead the nursing contribution to service development,ensuring the pursuit of excellence in care. The job holder will lead on theimplementation and monitoring of adherence to relevant clinical guidelines, audit and research. They will function as arole model for registered and unregistered staff within the clinical area andTrust, enabling and supporting the development of interdisciplinary and crosscity working to ensure the sharing of good practice and delivery of highquality, effective and efficient care.
