35 hours per week for 41 weeks per year - Term time only plus 3 weeks PURPOSE OF THE JOB The to support the projects team in a variety of services supplied by HCL, within Hertfordshire and neighbouring Counties. The post holder will need to be flexible in their working days. Must hold a full driving licence, will be asked to drive the company, Vans. The post holder will work closely with and support the project and equipment manager. You will be based at HCL Head Office. The post will involve some lifting and carrying. The post will include some weekend working. MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY To safely and efficiently drive a variety of vehicles as required. To carry out safety checks and inspections on vehicles. To report any defects identified on the vehicle or accidents involving the vehicle or clients to their Line Manager. To accurately complete the relevant paperwork, including Inspection reports, defects book and mileage sheets in accordance with the relevant departmental procedures. To approach all customers in a sensitive and professional manner, and to always treat people with dignity and respect. To assist with loading, unloading of deliveries as required and the transfer of catering equipment and ingredients between locations operated by HCL as required. To distribute, collect and maintain smoothy bikes used by HCL To be responsible for delivering and picking up of cook's uniforms from the laundrette. Keeping a record of them out and in. Keep an up-to-date inventory making sure Operations are regularly aware of stock levels. Communicate with the laundry to arrange drop off and pick up dates and times. Assist projects team to manage and maintain asset management system. Assist the project team to catalogue existing equipment across the estate and enter onto the asset management system. Support the sales team on food tenders. Loading and unloading of equipment and food products. To attend all organised training and regular staff supervision sessions and undertake any other duties commensurate with the grade which may be required from time to time. To complete all mandatory training required by HCL in a timely manner and keep up to date. PERSON SPECIFICATION Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong levels of accuracy in written English and financial/budgeting skills Effective organisational skills, prioritising workload within demanding time scales, resilient under pressure Proven experience of engaging customers and managing their expectations. Ability to and experience of working flexibly within a team utilising experience and expertise to support the wider team to promote HCL Must always display role model behaviour and maintain the highest professional and ethical standards Demonstrates effective IT skills, including Word, Excel, and email Must be willing and able to travel Hold the appropriate driving qualification; to be able to drive goods vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes. Be a confident driver with ability to safely drive a variety of vehicles as required. The interview will include a driving assessment. Be able to complete documentation accurately; Be willing to train to work in a variety of roles and services Be physically fit; able to lift and carry items. Be flexible in their working hours. Be a good team worker, but able to work unsupervised; with a "can do" attitude and good interpersonal skills, especially for dealing with customers; treat people with dignity and respect. Have a working knowledge of Manual Handling techniques for goods and/or people. Have a working knowledge of Microsoft office.
