About the Company
We are supporting an emerging electricity distribution business as they grow rapidly across the UK and are focused on delivering modern, customer-centric distribution networks that support the energy transition.
As their project activity increases, they are looking to hire a Permit/Streetworks Coordinator to strengthen their operational delivery function, ideally someone with strong experience from an ICP or utilities background.
Role Overview
The Permit/Streetworks Coordinator will be responsible for managing and coordinating all activities associated with network installation works carried out through ICPs and contractors. The role requires close liaison with local authorities, highways teams, and internal project staff to ensure permits, notices and reinstatement obligations are handled efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage all streetworks notices, permits and licences in line with NRSWA and local authority requirements.
* Act as the primary contact with local authorities, highways departments and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate with ICPs, contractors and internal project managers to ensure accurate planning of works in the public highway.
* Track and maintain all streetworks-related documentation including reinstatements, variations, and inspections.
* Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
* Provide updates to the internal delivery team and support with scheduling and risk management relating to streetworks.
* Assist with internal reporting on fines, performance metrics and compliance improvements.
* Build and maintain strong working relationships with partners, contractors and relevant authorities.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
* Previous experience as a Permit/Streetworks Coordinator within an ICP, utilities contractor, DNO/IDNO or similar environment.
* Strong understanding of NRSWA, permitting processes and streetworks regulations.
* Experience working directly with local authorities on notices, S50s, TTROs, inspections, etc.
* Ability to read and interpret project documentation and schedules.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
Desirable:
* NRSWA Supervisor or Operative accreditation.
* Familiarity with LV/HV network installation and electrical infrastructure
